Things that Are Difficult to Do

...when you have a slipped disc...or when Lucifer has taken his bloodless, boney index finger and run it across your vertibrae, one at a time like a mallet on a marimba, his spikey, filthy fingernail clickety-click against the bones, retracting the muscles into an angry and immovable mass.

-standing
-sitting
-laying down
-getting up from a laying down position
-sneezing
-working at your desk
-playing a French horn
-petting the cat
-picking up dropped items
-washing the dishes
-buying groceries
-vacuuming
-getting in and out of the car
-not moving for 20 minutes at a time

Thanks to all of you. My car wouldn't start this afternoon, so I had to drive the pickup to pick up my daughter--it was not fun. Every little bump was a jolt.

Wow. It was so nice to wake up to all of these well-wishings, even from the singley minded Old K. Oh, but when I go back and reread his comment, I see he didn't actually wish me well.

Anyway, thank you. Sleeping is a relief, but now I am here for another day of frozen-back syndrome.

Cindy Loo Who In October

What is it with people and Cindy Loo Who? Of my last one hundred blog hits, forty have been direct visits from regular readers, and fifteen have been as a result of people searching for "Cindy Loo Who," the little pixie from Seuss's How The Grinch Stole Christmas .
