Another Melee Monday:
1. The Misanthtropic: Name something (about humanity) you absolutely hate.
That patronizing tone that some people use to make someone else feel small. One of my favorite lines from Little Miss Sunshine is "sarcasm is what small people use to bring others down to their level." (or something like that). That applies to patronizing as well.
2. The Meretricious: Expose something or someone that’s phony, fraudulent or bogus.
I don't think God will double your money if you donate cash to somebody on television. Besides, the purpose of generosity is not to get a benefit in return.
3. The Malcontent: Name something you’re unhappy with.
I am unhappy with the bird who has decided the portion of patio beside my pool makes a fine toilet. The thing goes out of his way to set himself down on the edge and take a dump. Every time he returns, he scoots down a few inches so that after an active afternoon, there is a straight line of bird poo tracing the edge of my pool. The bastard.
4. The Meritorious: Give someone credit for something and name it if you can.
My friend Christal has such a beautiful singing voice and a ready smile. I enjoy her.
5. The Mirror: See something good about yourself and name it.
This is always a difficult one to answer because most of us are taught not to brag about ourselves. I'll just say I have nice salt-and-pepper hair, and I don't have to pay someone to color it that way.
6. The Make-Believe: Name something you wish for.
I wish I had time/opportunity to take painting lessons. I could wish that I had talent magically, but then I wouldn't appreciate it.
Update: I see that I forgot to update the "fraud" entry from last Monday's melee. I'll let this one stand.

And I kinda like sarcasm; I based my whole blog around it. People who say "sarcasm is the lowest form of wit" usually don't have the wit to use sarcasm … (OW)!
When you are as old as I am you'll come to regard patronising as about the only revenge us oldies can inflict on ignorant youth (hee hee).
I think you should paint more. I remember those watercolors.
about the bird poo cannot be as bad as it is on my patio, have 2 lovely arches that the birds revel in sitting on and using the patio as a toilet, and a large tree, that Full planted 21 years ago that can hold many birds, therefore the patio is not a good place to be this time of year.
We have so many baby birds at the moment, and I spend a lot of time keeping Oscar out of their way!!!
They do say it is lucky if you are on the receiving end.... my sister in law did not think so yesterday, we were looking up the tree to see the baby birds, and yes you can guess she was a target!!!
Thanks for making me smile today xox
