The other day, Lynn asked what I would do if I had 20 minutes free--no obligations, no work. Free time.
I like to take power naps, which I actually time out to be 20 minutes. Anything longer, and I am ruined for the day. So, if I had just 20 minutes of undisturbed time, I might opt for a snooze.
I also might opt for some French horn time if I haven't fit that in any other time during the day, or even if I have. I like to practice for an hour a day, but that has become difficult as of late. 20 minutes is better than nothing.
Other things I might like to do for 2o minutes:
Call my mother who lives in Georgia. I see her twice a year and call once a month or so. I should call more often.
Read. I love to read but honestly, sometimes I forget I have books in stacks around the house.
Play the piano. Our piano has a disclavier attachment with headphones, so I can switch it from acoustic to digital and play to my heart's content without anyone else hearing the blunders. I can hear them, but they don't bother me. I can easily get lost in my old tattered music for 20 minutes.
Read a few blogs. There are several I like to keep up on, but I don't always get the chance.
Visit my friend at her yarn shop. It seems lately the only time we get to chat is when I can stop by on my way to some other place. Having 20 minutes with her would be lovely. The same is true for my other friends who I have lost track of since working in the office.
In the summer, once our pool is open, resting in the sun with my eyes closed and the phones locked safely inside the house is a great way to spend 20 minutes.

I'm in favor of sleeping and reading.
Interesting to note all this Robyn. The last one, the pool (you have your own? I'm so jealous) is the one i identify with most.
I call my mother and father every day. Sorry if that makes me into the class goody goody. Well sometimes it's a quick check to see how they are, other times a long chat about anything. They are 75. I make the time. Sorry again i don't mean to make you feel bad eek. lol.
I admit it, I love to suck shit out of the carpet and chase the cat around the apartment with the Hoover.
